??Rocks in headlight motor??

My left headlight motor didnt work very well. So I took it out, fully expecting to replace the entire thing. Mostly because when I take something apart it never goes back together again. But when I opened it up, what appeared to be rock salt fell out all over the place. Whats that about?

Nah. No way dirt got in there. I busted every screw tryin to get it open. It looks like something that was once a liquid maby that dryed up. It just threw off a little when I opened it up.

It's the stock gel bushings. They like to end up destroyed after any actual amounts of use.

yep, its the bearings

do a search on repairing the headlight motor....you can replace those bearings with a cut up gluestick....mine held for 1.5 years that way...

Either my TDS 207280 headlight repair kit or TDS 209280 deluxe headlight repair kit will solve the problem. You can also download the instructions from my web site so you can see how to disassemble and re-assemble it.

Re: ??Rocks in headlight motor??

Well that would be cool except for two things. I broke off every screw getting it open. So thats when I decided to go ahead and buy one from someone in here. Well I already sent the money but I havent heard anything from the person Im supposed to be getting the motor from so its still up in the air what my situation is. If it turns out the motor I payed for doesnt show up then I will consider your offer.
