tach wiring help

I am putting in an autometer tach in my 83 t/a lg4. I found a good ground, have one of the 2 12v wires hooked up. Im almost positive i found the tach wire (i think its white) Now all i need is a 12v dash light source.

Could i get this from my radio wiring? if so...What color would the wire be?

Or i could also tap into the gauge cluster wiring, but i also need to know
what color the dash lighting wire is from that as well.

....or is would there be an un-used slot in the fuse block i could use as a loast resort?
thanks
Jim

Re: tach wiring help

You could use your radios power, I've got my CB hooked up to the radios power. a couple other options could be the center console light, the gear selector light, the lighter, the HVAC light. those would be your best bets. The radios ACC wire is yellow and the constant is orange.
