headlight??

my popup headlight on my right side just started acting up it wont go down, i opened the hood to check it out and the thing that turns when the light goes up and down started working in short spurts, anyone ever heard of this?

If it continues to happen you may have to replace the plastic bushings- do a search- I did both mine for under $10.

1982-86 is the 3-wire motor. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than the 1987-92 2-wire motor. I sell kits fo fix both, but for the early Firebird 3-wire motors you'd have to disassemble it to see which gear yours has. Some had striaght-cut gears. My kit won't repair that version. It must have gears that are cut on an angle for my kit.
