quick question
if i melted through some of my wire harness would that hurt the computer any? some of the wires got onto the header, what would it do to the computer if anything?

Depends on the specific wire.
Some wires carry sensor signals (CTS, IAT), some carry load from the ECM (injectors).
If you burn through and ground a sensor wire, in most cases the ECM will read a value out of range and set a code.
If you burn through and ground an injector wire, you might hurt the high-end switching elements in the ECM.
If you want to be sure, you can post the wire colors and location here and we'll try to figure out which ones they are.
If the ECM was hurt, it can always be repaired. However, with labor rates so insanely high, it's cheaper to replace the ECM.
