I have a 89 iroc with power door locks. They use to work decently, it would take three hits on the button to unlock but they would work. The other day I was taking the trash out and heard the car unlock then lock again. I stood by the car for 10 minutes listening to the door unlock then lock again all on thier own. I opened the doors and hit the buttons but they didn't work anymore, I tried the buttons on both sides, it stopped the unlocking/locking problem but I"m concern why they were doing it in the first place. I tried searching the forums but couldn't find anyone with the same problem, anyone got any ideas what happened?

 

Do you have an alarm with remote door locks? Was somebody messing with you? Happened to me before!

You could have a switch problem. Or a living bug in the door lock relay? The best way to diagnose this would be to find out what can stop the involuntary locking/unlocking. When the car does that, remove both switches. Does it stop? Which switch stopped it? Or if it doesn't stop, it could be the wiring or relay.
