Please Help. Tach question

Hey guys.

I'm trying to hook up my stock tach in my 89 trans am..but I have no idea where to look. I know its probably a plug if I'm not mistaken, and plugs into the distributor, but I dont know where. I see two plugs on the right side of the distributor, but stuff is already plugged into them. What wire am I looking for..any help? any diagrams? thanks.

Re: Please Help. Tach question

that car should be pre wired for the tach. so i guess i don't really know what you would have to hook up. but after market tach come off the coil not the distributor. if i'm not mistaken so does the stock tach.

Re: Please Help. Tach question

Kinda a noob..the coil? The distribuator? The wire that plugs into the tach spot on the distribuator is brown..spliced into a red wire.
