1991 Firebird GTA Will not start

I have been working on this car for about 2and a half weeks straight now...it started out as a minor problem, it would sometimes just click when i would try to start it, then i would move the steering wheel and it would start up. Then it got worse and worse, i would have to turn the wheel harder and harder. Then one day not a sound, no click or any thing.
So far i have
-BATTERY IS GOOD
-ALTERNATOR GOOD
-REPLACED STARTER AND SOLENOID BRAND NEW
-START ENABLE RELAY GOOD
-WIRES IN STEERING COLUMN FOR VATS GOOD
-WIRES TO VATS PASS KEY DECODER MODULE GOOD
-NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH GOOD
-ALL WIRES IN THESE SYSTEMS GOOD
So far the only probelm i have found is that a connector in the engine compartment has melted. However this connection has somthing to do with the blower motor relay. so i dont believe that it is the problem.
If anyone has any idea's i would greatly appreciate the help. This problem is getting the best of me.
Thanks

How about the ignition switch in the steering column? Only shooting from the hip here. If you are getting 12V at the distributor when the ignition is on, it isn't that. Based on all you know that is good, would be my next check.

Possibly the fusible links near the starter? There are 3 fat orange wires with "built-in" fusible links right before they connect to the starter itself. Perhaps one is bad. Again, just an idea. Good luck.

do you have alarm in it?
is it not cranking or just not starting?
the fuse link would most likely just drain the bat over a few days if it was bad but thets good thinking.

i had i gta that did that same thing with the collom tilt issue i just fix the lose collom and it fixed the prob you might want to look at the wires again
