another stupid computer quest
i have an 84 camaro with computer. i took out the carb and put an edelbrock on and a vaccum advanced distributor on.. do i need the two connectors that are on the bracket on driver side firewall? i think there for the computer emissions but not sure. any help is greatly appreciated

The two connectors on the driver's side fire wall have nothing to do with the computer controls for the engine. They contain the front light circuits, the wiper circuits, the horn circuit, the tach circuit, some of the indicator circuits and the back up light circuit, more or less. All the computer circuits go from the computer to a connector in the passenger side kick panel into the wheel well area and then up into the engine compartment.
The connectors you are referring to are called the C100 connector. Remove them at your own risk
