General headlight problems/questions

Hey guys
New to the car, and haven't quite figured everything out yet... I've turned on the headlights, and when I did only the right popped up, and the left didn't. Both headlight bulbs work, but now the right one won't go down when the headlights are turned off... is there 1) a separate down switch for the headlights I am missing? and 2) what is the possible cause for the left not working? Thanks in advance!

So, searching through old posts I more or less have found the answers I needed (for future reference I'll do that FIRST) On another note, how do I therefor delete this post???

Re: General headlight problems/questions

Motor bad, worn bushings on the gears that raise light, Bad teeth possibly on gears. Will it come up when you give it a slight tug? Mine have a habit of bouncing up, sometimes they come up sometimes not. I can usually pull them up. Need to tear the down and fix bushings and/or gears i'm guessing. Check out some of the vendors for replacement parts or TDS has bushings, gears, and rebuild kits.

If you open the hood their is a manual **** to turn them up and down. But I would guess bad motor. They are supposed to be bad for going out.
