Short in elect system

When I turn on my headlights the "high beam" and turn indicator lights on the dash illuminate dimly. The exterior turn indicators and head lights are not affected. Other electrical problems include the A/C fan blowing the fuse when turned on. And the trunk pull down mechanism isn't working.

I had it at the dealer and they wanted to drop the transmission at a cost of over $500 and that was just to look for the short.

Has anyone had a problem like this?

Re: Short in elect system

I m no expert,but a little info.
Have you isolated the rear hatch{unplug it}to see if the light issue changes?
Also have you checked the grounds on the backside of heads,
Also look at the harness/for chafin on the block/body.
Also maybe unplug each headlight, and see if it changes, just a few very easy things to check, good luck
