can a camaro mechanical cluster 1981-1989 be easily converted to work with electronic dash 1990-1992?

82-89. No easy swap here, since the clusters are basically shaped differently.

same question for a trans am. i want to swap from my 870 to my 165 but i'm concerned about the vss stuff, i havent found a 140 mph dash for it yet.
