89 T/A black connector@the bottom of steering wheel

  • I need to know to sequence of the wires that are on the bottom of the steering wheel. I`m pretty sure that those wires are for the pass key set-up.
  • It`s a 7 wire connector but it only uses 5 wires. On the connector it reads A B C D E F G .
  • I cannot find this wiring schematic anywhere.

Pass key? You mean VATS by any chance? That uses a totally different connector. Flat small black connector with two very thin white wires in orange sheeth.

As for the connector, what wire colors are in it?

Why do you need the schematic? Did the connector break apart?

The connector it self someone has removed the wires out of it. But, I did find the connector laying under the drivers seat.
Right now I`m not at the car but here's what I remember
dark green
pink
gray
purple
black ?
The other connector is a female and it is gray in color and it has the same color wires except two of them are different colors i know that one them is white and i forget what the other one is.
Under the dash there's a box about 4.5" x 6" and it reads Passkey.
Thanks

I'll look under my dash and check for the same wire colors (if you can wait 'til I get home tonight). It doesn't sound like the multi-function switch connector, that one has more wires. And it doesn't sound like the ignition switch either. We'll see.

Yes, there is a Passkey module under the dash. Are these wires connected to it? Or why did you mention it?

I just assumed that those wires operate that pass key system. I call my local bone yards to see if they had a steering column for sale but they did not. I was going to go by there and look at the connector to see the order of sequence. But that that's not going to happen.
I really appreciate all your help. Thanks

Would you have a picture of the connector?
I looked under my steering column and didn't find anything to match your description.
If no picture, can you describe its shape? Also, which wires are thick, which are thin? That will help too.

I played with those wires and figured out that those connections are for the wiper operation.
I finally got my car to start. The problem was that it has an after market remote mounted Accel coil and it needed to be grounded to the chassi before it would produce a spark.
Man, I really, really appreciated your time and expertise when it come to these 3rd gen your are the man. Thanks again and I`m sure i will hit you up with another question down road.
