Speedo, Temp Gauge not working 88 GTA Digital Dash

Speedo not working 88 GTA Digital Dash
I just traded my '89 Trans Am Formula for an '88 GTA, the GTA is a heck of alot cleaner and runs much better.. The only problem is that the speedo doesn't work, and the check engine light is on. Would the VSS cause the check engine light to come on? If I need a new VSS, where can I get one for cheap?

If so I think the VSS was replaced but the speedometer gears are worn.

and it doesnt have plates lol. yeah its ur buddies old car more than likely.. juan right?
anyways, how do i get to tthe speedo gears? where can i find replacements?
