Help please

I have a problem with or my harness or relays, Im not sure.
I have a rebuilt 350 for my 87 GTA TPI auto, all sensors are new.
Hooking up a scan tool to my car and getting wack readings, engine didnt run, so I found my maf relay wasnt powering the maf so thats fixed, engine runs but not 100% smooth.
Scan tool is giving me some weird readings, car is parked on idle reading jumps, rpm 0000 to 3000, kmh at 000 to 255, ipw from 1.2 to 8.3 maf 8g to 200g, tps at 6.
Im starting to think my car is possessed, one moment it seems to give good readings then when I think all is well it craps out on me.
This has been a problem for a while now, just not sure if anyone has come accross such a problem.

Re: Help please

Yea definantly possesed! I would think it could be anything that is doing that. Erratic fuel pressure, spark problems, sensor errors... Just start with one system and check and double check to make sure it is working correctly. If it is then move on to the next system and try.

If I had to guess I would say your maf is bad. If you know someone that you can swap with for a quick try do that. Have you checked and or replaced your tps sensor?

Re: Help please

I have swapped mafs, computers, sensors are new, check the harness from the sensors to the computer.
I wouldnt say Im not best at doing it so I let my mechanic figure it out and even he doesnt know what the deal is.

Going to try a diff harness this week.

Re: Help please

Have you messed with the idle air control motor? If that is freakin out it will allow air to randomly enter and then close it off. This will make your computer jump around along with the idle. Just a thought.

Re: Help please

try posting this in the prom section or the ecm section. They may know how to diagnose the erratic readings youre getting off the scanner. Im not familiar with the scanner diagnosis.
