digital dash tach issue

digital dash tach issue
I have an 1988 GTA with the dig dash. The problem I am having is that it wiggs out above 2500 rpm. If you slowly raise the rpm it will be fine. If you are getting into it like at the strip at wot once it hits 2500 it will go back down instead of climb to redlline. Anybody ran into this? Is the something I can do to fix it other then get another cluster? I love these dashes, I would hate to use an aftermarket one. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm having the same problem. Sometimes it will go down to 0 and sometimes it will stay at like 2500 when I come to a stop
