Rigging starter...
I am at a complete loss why my Camaro wont start. (If you want more info. u can look at my posts on the V6 forum). Basically I am getting power from the main big black wire running from the batt. to the big bolt on the starter solenoid (there is juice there always as there should be.) I am not getting any power from the smaller purple wire that connects to the smaller bolt on the solenoid when I turn the key to start position for whatever reason. I was under the impression though if I just ran another wire connected to the pos. term. of the batt. & touched it to the smaller solenoid bolt or both bolts on the starter solenoid it would crank. Am I wrong in thinking this? I guess I must be cuz I tried it & nothing. Thank u for taking the time to read this & any input at all will be greatly appreciated. Thanx!

Re: Rigging starter...
It should crank if you either:
-put 12 volts to the purple wire
-cross the two larger terminals with a metal object (BE CAREFUL)

Re: Rigging starter...
I tried & it does not work. I tried with 3 dif. starters to make sure it was not a bum starter. What does this mean? Somebody please help! Ive already lost my job over this & I am about to get evicted if I cant fix this soon.

Re: Rigging starter...
Then the starter can't be getting power!
Maybe the ground strap for the block is not right. Check to make sure the starter has power!
