funny fuse question
funny fuse question
have a 10 amp(red) for my guage cluster that pops when i turn the ignition key and start the car.
controls guage cluster, interior lights, etc.
but, when i start the car and put the fuse in all is fine.
any suggestions of where to start?

I would suspect a burnt out lightbulb in one of the warning lights. It would logically explain it: you turn the key, warning lights come on and blow the fuse (if there is a short in a bulb). Then once the engine is started, warning lights are off, so the fuse won't blow then.
I'd pull the instrument cluster and check all warning lights bulbs with an ohmmeter (or with a battery).

Im interested in this as I am having this exact problem in my iroc, although I haven't tried putting in the fuse once the car is cranked. I am going to check my bulbs to make sure that I don't have an extra bulb in their. Their were a few dead/empty bulb spots on mine if I remember correctly.
