Convert Cable to VSS

I need to convert Cable to VSS and did a search. I have seen that many people have actually just replaced a cable sensor to a VSS into their transmission. Although I would not mind that it will get a little expensive for my tastes. So I found this and I cannot figure out if this is going from cable to vss or vss to cable and which pulse I would need. I have a 1989 Camaro RS T-5 350. I am putting in a speedometer from a 1988 Formula 140 mph.

The Sen-01-1 is what I am looking at.

Interesting. May I ask why you wish to swap (aside from the dilemma you mention, what/how will you mod the Camaro to accept the Formula 140)? Wouldn't a 140 cable-driven speedo be an easier solution?

I've already bought and paid for this one at a good price. Lol.
