hOW DO I TEST A HATCH MOTOR ON A 1986 Z28 TO SEE IF IT IS BAD

No it is Dead, it is in the down position and wont lock the trunk, i have a 1987 z28 how do i test it to see if it's burnt out, is there a fuse for it if so where, thanks for your help

if it has a fuse it will be under the drivers side of the dash in the fuse block.

my hatch works but it's make a slight whine or kinda like the weather stripping rubbing and I swear it looks like it's not closing all the way I'm hoping new stripping will fix this even though the stripping looks fine any help here?
