How to get taillight bulbs to not get loose in the sockets?

I have always had issues with my taillight bulbs getting loose enough to not make contact inside the socket.

and this morning is the last straw when i noticed another one not working.

im tired of having to remove the trunk panel and unscrew the taillight bowtie nuts which hurt my fingers.

is there a trick you guys can suggest?

the metal tabs r flat and flush in the plastic. so i cant or dont think i can bend them up to make better contact.

any ideas guys?

thanks

Are you sure they haven't gotten bent? (the sockets)

I've never had a single bulb get loose in any of mine......ever.

i got a very tight suspension

very bumpy ride on bad roads thats my only explination unless these sockets are known to be kinda worn after all these years. plastic sockets dont hold the bulb in place just right?

Even in my autocross cars, subject to sharp, quick turn & such, mine never came loose.

Worst case, go to Pep Boys & get new sockets. Dorman #85867
