Just rebult engine. Loose wires.
Hi guys. I need some help if somebody can figure this out. I just dropped in a rebult engine and all the wires from the wiring harnes have been plugged accordinaly. But there are two wires that are just there and I dont know what theey are. One is possibly the Tach but which one? And where does the other one go too?
Any help would be much appreciated.

White is the tacho wire but may run through a tach filter which is usually bolted to the top bellhousing bolt , drv side.
Round steel cyl 1 1/2" long with 2 white wires and connector to plug into white wire you show.
How many wires do have plugged into top of dist?
Should have a pink and a white.

here is the dizzy that Im using in my Camaro. The 4 prong connector plugs into the wiring harness which leads to the ECM.

I got the main plug that comes from the bottom of the cap (plug with 3 wires). So the white is the tach right? I couldnt find the filter that U mentioned. So the black wire may be the BAT lead right?

Re: Just rebult engine. Loose wires.
those two look like the plugs for the dizzy, one a 12V ignition and the other for the tach. they go in where you have "Coil" written with the arrow. the other plug is probably for a computer controlled advance which I don't have in mine so thats something completely different. the two plugs will only go in one way, you can't put the batt in the tach slot, it wont fit. also, my "filter" for my tach was on my firewall just behind the cap. it looks sort of like a capacitor. just follow the wires from those plugs.
