coolant temp sensor

my 89 305tpi camaro has a problem. when i first start it up( motor is cold) it drives and runs fine. when i shut the car off and go to start it again (motor is warm) it wont start. its at the shop and they tested the wires that cap on to the fuel injectors and when hot the light is very dim compared to very bright when cold. they just put in a new distributor, ignition coil so its not an ignition problem...... starting to think that the problem is the coolant temp sensor, the wire that connects to it is a little corroded and i think it might be bad itself.....someone please give me some answers so i drive my car

Re: coolant temp sensor

Time to take it to a shop that works on cars and knows what's going on under the hood. I would trust these guys with my lawn mower.

The CTS won't keep the engine from starting. You can unplug it temporarily, the engine can run without it.

If they had a "dim light" on the injectors, somebody needs to look at the power supply to the injectors. They should see full voltage on the pink/black wires with the key on. The wires come from the under-dash fusebox, fuses INJ1 and INJ2.
If the injectors have full voltage on the positive side, then the problem might be the grounding wires from the ECM (black/pink and black/green) or a ground for the ECM itself.

Let us know what you find.
