headlights
Hey everyone, im new to thirdgens.
Im coming from a 1969 chevy nova with a 427 bbc, but i love this thirdgen so i had to sell the nova.
But im confused about my headlights, theyll turn on at first, but then start flashing on,off,on,off, lowbeams, highbeams, etc.., theyll just go crazy. Im either thinking a bad headlight relay or ground somewhere. If anyone else has had this problem please help me out, im trying to build a dailey driver with it, so i need to fix this problem. Btw its a 91 camaro z28 if that helps any.
I appreciate it dearly,
Adam

Re: headlights
i believe its the actual headlights..the way the guy before me wired them, because when i move them..the headlights dim, but the one thing i am stuck about is why my high beams are stuck on..even though i took the actual switch off..unless one of the wires are crossing..causing the power to go to the highbeams to.
But just for curiosity, where is the headlight relay on the 91 camaros
thanks,
adam

DAYTIME LIGHTS JUST NOT RIGHT
The Pull-For-On headlight switch contains a circuit breaker.
That’s why your headlights are doing the morse code routine.
Therefore something is drawing too much current or the switch needs to be replaced.
Use an ammeter to decide your course of action.
Sounds like dirty/defective connectors.
Unless your car contains those ridiculous daytime running lights you don’t have a relay.
Happy Racing!
If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going BackwardsFog lights are not driving lights. They look dorky. Turn em off slow pokes.
How bout those dorks too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime!

Those lights should be going thru the other pair of terminals of the headlight switch.
Therefore if a modification was made to put those lights on the headlight terminals that would send more current thru the breaker and cause it to cycle.
