SGI-5 With Dakota, 7749 ECM Question

I understand that I needed the SGI-5 to get everything to work properly. I have a question when using a 700r4 and a 1227749 ecm with the SGI-5

From the VSS I am going to have to Ground 1 side of the 8000ppm Dakota Digital sensor and the other wire goes into the Speed Input Signal of the SGI-5, I am pretty sure I need to use application NO#3 from the SGI-5 install manual page 6.

The Instrument Panel From B11 or the DK Green wire from the 7749 ECM goes to the SGI-5 8000ppm or Output 3

The Cruise Control From B12 or the red wire frnm the 7749 ECM goes to the SGI-5 2000ppm or Output 5

Then on the ECM what used to be the VSS outputs on B11 and B12 would be left empty.

If I am not correct so far then please stop me here.. If I am correct then here is my question.

My ECM which is a 1227749 needs to get a signal from the VSS also. I am trying to datalog and my ECM doesn't showing any speed when driving.

How should the ECM be tied into this setup? I know there is a purple B9 and Yellow B10 wire on the ECM for VSS Input. In order for the ECM to start getting a speed reading. How does this tie in with the SGI-5?? Can I attach the OUTPUT NO# 4 from the SGI-5 which is the 4000ppm output to either the yellow or purple and ground the remaining wire. Does this complete setup sound right or am I way off in left field?
