Can I use a 1994 Fleetwood LT1 wiring harness computer on 1996 Impalla SS LT1 motor? Or am I in way to deep. The 1994 motor was complete with accessories / harness / and computer, but had a cracked head. The 1996 one did not have the harness or computer but appears in good condition.

Also, the 1996 motor has the 460LE that came with it. How do I tell if what came with the Fleetwood? Is it in the partial "VIN" on the block?

This will be my first LT1 transplant, and it's supposed to go in a 1967 Cutlass. Any relevant information would be greatly appreciated.

I just installed a 95 LT1 into my 96 camaro, I used the 95 harness, Computer and transmission, The problem I had was that the car would not start because the harness is different, I then had to use the 96 harness on the 95 motor with the 96 computer, The car now runs and drive but because the 96 came with the front drive crank trigger, I now have to figure out a way to either put a wheel on the damper or get some kind of signal delete.

I would go with the 96 if you have the engine harness but be careful using different harnesses, You may run into the same problem.
