Re: keyless entry
I think it would be possible but not suggested. You would have to wire the Body Control Module (BCM) into your car and then you would have to troubleshoot all the problems associated with that. Your best bet would be to install an aftermarket alarm that will wire into your electronic locks.

Ya'
It's pretty easy to install the keyless entry from a 4th gen into a Third Gen. All you need is the TRW box ( behind pass kick panel in 4th gen ) and both wiring pigtails leading to it from the donor car and then wire it into your car. I put one from a 95 Z in my 84 Berlinetta because I wanted the "Bowtie" key FOB. ( It's probably good to mention that my 84 already had factory 84 Power Locks and factory hatch release )
The only thing I couldn't figure out at the time was how to make the system work as it was desined on the 4th gen. IE: The system should unlock the driver door with one click and both doors with 2 clicks. I was only able to get it to unlock BOTH doors with 1 click. Getting the other features to work was easy ( the interior lighting, and the hatch button )
Using the Key FOB to open the hatch is AWESOME ! ( no more climbing in to hit the button on the center console !! )

Re: keyless entry
thats because the 3rd gen door locks (both) are wired to the same circuit. When you press the unlock button on either door, booth doors unlock. Wire them up independently and they should work like the 4th gen...

BINGO !
I tapped into the relay & it sent the signal to both doors. I didn't have the desire to re-wire it as independant chanels and left the original intact.

Here's a pic of the 95 Keyless receiver and transmitter. ( This set-up was installed my S10 Blazer, The Camaro FOB is the same type but it has a picture of a car ! )

Here's a link to a page that describes the conversion. It shows the wiring schematics for the 1985 door locks and the 1995 Keyless Entry systems as well as a wiring map to get it installed.
Good Luck !
