Rewiring Entire Car....?s
Hey guys,
So my car has a 355 in it (350 block right?) and the guy also put in a manual tranny, which I think is a T5 but to be honest not positive on that yet. The previous owner was getting ready to make it basically a drag car and has stripped out soooo much of the electronics, or disconnected them. The wiring that remains is also a mess. So this leaves me with essentially rewiring the entire car, which I am fine with. One question is do you think it would be better to go with 83 wiring and wiring harnesses, or an 87 set up which would have had the 350 stock? Are the sensors different?
Next, where can I get these harnesses? Just wait for some on ebay or some vendor? Or is there a site that sells them? Alternatively, my roommate is an electrician with a degree in low voltage, so he could make them. I have a shop manual so should have teh wiring diagrams, but that would take a lot longer I imagine.
Anyways, your input is welcome, thanks guys.

Match your dash harness to your engine harness. Mixing years leads to more problems to sort in the end. If you are going EFI, then the newer the wiring is the more it can support. Carb really doesnt matter
Often its quicker to go to a JY and pull new harnesses than try to sort old hacked ones
