diagnosing a bad ground to the ECM?
I connected on probe to the ground on the end of the wire by the sensor i'm testing. the other probe to the ECM ground. The Multimeter beeps saying i have continuity so is the ground ok then? Any better ways to test this ground? thanks
Re: diagnosing a bad ground to the ECM?
It simply means there is continuity between the ground points which makes sense because all grounds are connected. This is a safety measure incase a ground gets broken, the rest will keep you going
To better test the ECM grounds, unplug the ECM and do a continuity test between each of the ground pins to a ground. Pull up a pinout sheet of your ECM to help you

according to the schematic of the ECM i looked at, the ECM recieves it's ground from two pins. I checked the Ohms on both and they were consistant. Anything i missed?
