MSD 6AL, what do i need?
i have a 350ci with a MSD distributor cap, accel HEI super coil, MSD street fire plug wires, platnium plugs. what would i need parts wise if i were to buy the 6AL? what all would i need to do to install it, i don't need an extreme break down, just a general one... thanks!

You just have to connect the 6AL into the dist connections; some rewiring required and run new power wires from batt to MSD unit

Depending on what distributer you have, just use a msd adapter harness. If the 6al ever fails you can put it back to stock in seconds and still be driving. Makes installation faster too

Re: MSD 6AL, what do i need?
hey thanks for the info guys, a couple more questions.... my current distributor has a vaccum advance thing on the side, not 100% what its for to tell you the truth, but if i bought a pro billet distributor part 85551 and the 6al, would that work? or do i need a distributor with a vaccum advance? any advise is welcome,
thanks
thanks
Re: MSD 6AL, what do i need?
you still need to run a coil. dl the MSD 6AL install instuctions and read the section for your app. If my memory is right you have a 4 prong ignition control module... to install the msd you take the module out and hook the msd into the wires the module was hooked into. do yourself a favor and buy the msd adapter harness. where are you mounting the box?
