Generator question

Hi,
After I have done some mods: Mark VIII dual speed fan install, powerfull fog lights install, MSD, when the engine gets hot or after burning the wheels, drifting I got the Mark VIII fan switched on the cars revs at iddle are waiving and if the engine stops I can't start it again - battery is empty. It seams the fan is sucking out the battery and generator is just to week. I was told to change the generator to more powerful.
The question is how many Amp is stock one and to what I should go - 140 or 200 Amp?
Battery is 75 Ah.
Thank You in advance for the help.

Re: Generator question

the factory alternator puts out either 95 or 105 amps, can't remember which one. The police alternator puts out 140amps, and local parts store should have the option for stock and police or heavy duty. Also you can get an aftermarket alternator out of a summit or somewhere that sales performance parts. not many alternators charge at idle that well, if your running fans at idle.

Re: Generator question

One more question:
My Camaro is model of year 1991. I am located in Europe, if I buy from Summit, 131 + 90 USD for shipment + 28% of import taxes so it gets more than twice expensive. I think it should be cheaper to find some used here locally in EU. The question is what model from fits 140 Amp alternator to my Camaro?
