blinker not blinking

blinker not blinking
hey guys so i have a 83 t/a so when i hit my brakes my parking lights and cluster lights come on and when my lights are off my passenger blinker blinks fine but when i turn the lights on it does blink it just stay solid what could be causing this thanks
