The same buzzer when you open the door. When i turn on the headlights or when they come on automaticly at dusk the buzzer would come on and stay on until you turn off the lights or turn off the car. What would be the cause of this,How can i turn this buzzer off when the lights are on.I have a 1991 trans am.Thanks.

They Need To Make The Buzzer Buzz When Drivers Leave Lights On In The Daytime

Probably the warning switch in the column is defective or has a bad connection going to it.

You're probably not going to find a lot of relevant info here... Daytime running lights were standard for Canadian export, but they're unusual (to say the least) in the US. The standard 91 Firebird service manual has wiring diagrams for DRL cars, but they're different from the standard US version. I'd recommend picking up the manual and start reading/troubleshooting.

If nothing else, you can remove the buzzer module from the convenience center under the drivers side of the dash. It's up next to the passengers side of the steering column. It may be a white, blue, or black box and it just plugs in like a flasher or a relay. It won't hurt anything to remove it, and you'll still have the root cause, but you'll remove the symptom.
