guess that sensor!

so i installed some k&n air filters and suddenly my vehicle is freaking out. sealing the crack in the airbox failed so now im wondering if its a faulty sensor. Its getting too much air and feeding too much fuel i think. the RPMs are at 2000 while in park and neutral and while in drive theyre at 1100 that sometimes fluctuates to the point of almost stalling. I took it to a local autozone to try and fegure out the trouble code but my 91 z28 is to old for them to do it for some reason...

91 camaro 5.0L V8 TPI.

any suggestions?

MAF sensor...did you oil that filter? MY buddies GTA bugged out likethat when he over oiled the filter and it jacked his sensor readings, had to replace his sensor but give it a shot with a normal filter and see if it helps, or no filter at all but dont drive it lol just test it out

Really? I thought they switched over to MAF later on in the generation.. I can't think of anything in line that'd get jacked up like that but I think the oil is your issue, I mean that's the last thing you did right?

You can pull your own codes with a paperclip:
