Pulled apart my headlight gearbox because the one side wasnt going up. I found the normal pile of dust that used to be bushings, but while taking it apart I took the motor off and now can't figure out how to get it back in without the brushes falling out. Any tips would be helpfull.

So the kit you bought didn't include a tip in the instructions on how to hold the brushes in the retracted position while you re-install the motor shaft? Here's a link to the instructions in the kit I manufacture and sell. I call it the "paperclip trick".
