purple wire
purple wire
the thick purple wire that is on the starter, where does it go after it goes through the firewall? i traced it back until it goes under the carpet and looks like it goes to the back somewhere.
i have a 1989 ta and i'm having starting problems, probably vats related. i've done the resistor bypass for the key, and also the start enable relay bypass which hasn't fixed it yet. it does start and runs fine if i cross the solenoid or if i put power to that purple wire. i'm not sure what i should check next, any suggestions on what to try?

Re: purple wire
Wire runs from starter through firewall to neutral safety switch. From NSS runs to starter enable relay on a green wire same guage. From SER runs to ignition switch on yellow wire same guage.
