Door wiring
So, while disaasmebling my 1991 Z28, I let my buddy tackle the doors, while I got the rear bumper. He decided to be lazy, instead of spending two minutes taking the things off the doors and pulling the wiring out, he chopped it right by the rubber protectors at the front of the door, on both doors. God*mmit. I about ripped his head off. Is the door wiring a seperate harness? Or a part of the general harness for the interior? How can I fix this cheaply???
One last question, behind the passenger fender, where that mess of wires comes out, there is an orange one that is chopped in half... What is that wire for?

Re: Door wiring
Late cars the door harnesses are hardwired together... The harness is one piece from the switches all the way to both doors. It sucks because some early cars have a connection just inside the body where they can be disconnected.
Solid orange is constant 12v+ it goes all over the car for different purposes.

Re: Door wiring
Thanks for that info! Any reason as to why someone would chop that wire? Everything seemed to work on it, except the hatch motor. How would you go about fixing the door wiring?
