Keyless Hatch entry?

I have a 85 camaro and the PO decided that they needed to get into the hatch without a key. In the process they mangled the metal that goes around the lock cylinder. I want to just fill in the mangled hole and was curious if anybody has installed some sort of keyless device to pop the hatch from outside?

Re: Keyless Hatch entry?

My car has keyless entry installed, but the PO did it, not me. Looks pretty simple, a small controller sits under the dash pad, wires running to the door lock circuits (I have power doors) and to the hatch release button (I have motorized hatch pulldown), and a 3 button fob (lock, unlock, hatch).

Re: Keyless Hatch entry?

I wired my GM alarm to pop the hatch, no need to add anything, just wire it into the release motor relay.

I have that. Looks totally factory, I like that it is OEM GM and it comes w/ instruction.

When you set it up you can use the additional button for whatever you want. I have it set for the hatch. Simply hold it a couple secs to open. All you need to do is wire the ground trigger so that it triggers the release solenoid relay under the center console. It's easy as that.
