Power door lock switch type.
I got a power window and door lock set up but I have an issue with the door lock switches. Not electrical but with the switch itself. The switch is mounted in a 2 x 3.5 inch trim plate but my door panel has a horizontal hole 1/2 inch x 1.5 inches. I looks like it should use a switch like the window switches but I can't find a lock switch anywhere so far that looks correct. Every one I've seen is the same as the one that goes in the larger plate and that doesn't look like it fits what I've got. It's a 91 Firebird with a grey interior. Anyone know where to find the correct lock switch?
Re: Power door lock switch type.
Camaros and early Firebirds have a large bezel that the lock switch snaps into. Later Firebirds the bezel doubles as the door handle cup and locates the lock switch. The switch is the same all the way from 82-92 in both the Camaro and the Firebird, the only difference is 90-up Camaros have yellow lettering.
