Coil on/near Plug VS Capacitive discharge ignition
Hi,
It's time to upgare innition, but I have dilemma choosing to upgrade to MSD box or going COP. As far as I understand stock coil will run to little dwell at high rpm to produce powerful spark and going COP will fix this.
Since I use megasquirt as engine management I can upgrae to COP or just put in a msd box. what will perform better?
At present my lovely 305 bottom is just rebuild to factory spec, heads are reworked and cam change to xr264hr. holley 2 bbl TBI unit sitting over edelbrock performer intake, however daily I run on LPG sequential vapor injection.
Future mods will be installing k27 turbo or two small turbos.

I'd go with whichever is cheaper.
