ok heres what im starting with.. i have a 88 vert, all wiring is replaced with painless harness, i have a 4th gen dash and window/lock switches. the only wires painless gives for windows/locks and a power wire
my questions are...how would i wire up a 4th gen switch?? the window switches have 5 or 6 wires coming out. do i need to hook up relays for the switches/locks?? would i go off a 4th gen wire diagram??
ive seen ppl do the headlight switch wiring but they dont use all the 4th gen wires and i dont have the 3rd gen wires to splice

any help would greatly be appreciated !!!!!!!

I've not really dug into my 93 yet so this is a guess...

I would imagine the power window switches work the same as the 3rdgen. I used ford contour switches in my bird. The only thing that was different for those was an extra wire for the LED that turnd on with the gauge lights.

the switches i have, have 2 on drivers side and 1 on pass side. im gonna have to run some wire to connect the 2 pass window and lock switches

 

Ha, shows how well I pay attention though, in defence, I've only been in my '93 a handfull of times.

It is a pretty crappy diagram. I stole it from Autozones website. I'd offer some more help but, I'm way to tired to be staring at diagrams right now. One decade, I'll need a real manual myself for the 4thgen as it's going to be kind of... spliced into the '71 I have.
