I decided I was going to get the hatch pull down mechanism working on my base model 86 camaro so I checked all my fuses on the fuse panel and they were all good. Next I replaced the relay that is near the pulldown motor itself. As soon as I installed it the motor raised up, but it does not lower when I shut the hatch nor does it if I press the switch and it hasnt done anything different since. Does this mean that my switch is bad? Is there another way to test the switch before I go and replace it?
