PLEASE HELP

I have 88 Iroc TPI. I have lost all power to my electric locks, horn, rear hatch, radio, and interior lights all at once. I parked the car in my garage and all of a sudden my radio shut off. After further examining the situation, I found out that it wasnt just the radio and that it was all i listed above. I checked all fuses under the dash and all are good. I made sure battery wires were secured and wires to the starter were also secured. I am at a loss as to what may have happened. Please, if you have had this happen and know what the issue is please tell me. Thank everyone in advance.

Help Is On The Way ! ○○○○○ Or At Least On ThirdGen

Using a test light (the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) probe both sides (one side at a time) of the ACC fuse.

If there is power both sides, the problem is a bad connection from the fuse output to the items you mentioned, and the problem is near the fuse block.

If there is NO power both sides, the problem is a bad fusible link near the battery, or the wire going to it.

Happy Racing!

Re: PLEASE HELP

i'm going to lean more towards possibly a bad fusible as well on this one, if you disconnect your C100 plug, check to see if you have +12v at your A4 & G5 pins (check out here if you need more info)

Re: PLEASE HELP

there is a little fuse link connected near the rad support next to the battery check the fuse in it not sure but i believe that it supplies interior voltage to the main junction

Re: PLEASE HELP

Im going to direct you to the starter again. After following all the advice already given, because it's all very good and relavent, use the test light you used on the ACC fuse to check the fuse links at the starter. There are 3 fuse links attached to the Batt post of the solenoid. Fuse link A supplies power to the Acc fuse and all of the items that aren't working.

You may have a difficult time disconnecting C100. Its the bulhead connector and is a little complex for anyone who doesn't have some auto electrical experience. The easiest way to test for power from this fuse link is to test for power at the ACC fuse, as Nina suggested.

Fuse links dont need a real overload to break once they have been placed under a load for 23 years. They become brittle and can break at the slightest surge.
