so in the past few days i have been cutting weight in my drag project and in the process i remove the dash along with most of the interior, my problem is now that i put it back together it wont turn over. i took the ecm out but i have a carbed motor and didnt think i needed it, the car was originally a v6, lots of unneeded wire. i plug the neutral safety switch back in so thats not it. is it possible that i got ride of something i needed to make the ignition work?

Thats for a 90-92. Only diff for your 82 is you wont have the starter enable relay (VATS)

Circuit goes from battery to the IGN switch on the column, to the auto shifter then strait to the starter solenoid

 

so i have been doing a lot of reading before i replied to the last post which was helpful by the way thanks! and i am kind of under the assumption that the ecm controlled the neutral safety and the hei coil. i took out the entire ecm harness when i started gutting the car. by the way the car ran before i did this. im just trying to confirm my assumption and if this is the case, some advise on how to by pass the neutral safety and fix what ever issues i might have!
