Need Trunk Release in 91 Bird
Ok... so I have a trunk Pull Down in the car...

And this one with a trunk release, I have too...

Different mounting points, etc... I don't care for the trunk pull down, I just want the trunk release... I can see that the stock one has a remote wire going to it, from key turning to latch, but no power assist...
Has anyone adapted a "trunk release" to these? I think these may be for ones that have a cable...??? In a way, it does have a cable... Eventually, I'm gonna have a blackout, so rear key access will be covered too... Here is a DEI trunk release solenoid...

Pop the cable off the trunk lock cyl and fab a simple bracket to hold the 91- release solenoid to it
I wouldnt suggest dumping the 92 pull down assembly (tan) its significantly stronger than the older versions

Dump the stronger tan one?
I thought the tan one was late 91 and 92...
The all silver is earlier, with the trunk pop.... From the looks of it, the trunk pop looks like it sits on the latch gear.. I need to remove it to see for sure....
