getting closer, some electrical wont work.
i have a 87 v6 2.8. automatic. as far as i can tell it is all bare bone.
i don't have a vacuum ball and i am not 100% sure my emissions are connected right, but i am working on it.
back story.
i got this car from a co-worker for $200. basically her EX BF was "working" on the car and ghetto rigged and miss connected a lot of crap. i have spent a few months trying to fix it. it was sitting under a tree for a year and hasn't worked for at least two. when i got it, it had no steering wheel, bull ants in the fender, wasps in the mirror and apparently had a mouse problem at one point. they are all gone now.
i fixed the wires chewed from the wire harness on the passenger side (2 wires) the wires to the 3 relays on the drivers side and 1 wire on the inside at the drivers side.
finally feel safe to connect the battery.
turned the key back and test the controls. the break light works, the dash lights work, windshield wipers work and the headlight works (except the passenger side gets stuck on the up position since it hits the bumper a little). the problem is the radio doesn't, the blinkers don't, the air won't work and the interior doesn't as far as i can tell.
it is dark and i hadn't tried to do much to fix the new found problems.
i am looking for any suggestions on things to check out in the morning. i took apart the whole dash to check for any other chewed wires and all are ok. as far as i figure the fuses should be the problem. i just don't know what would be the correct colors to use. also what ones need fuses and what ones may not be needed for my model (i am a novice and learning)
i didn't try to start it yet, i still need to do some work and then change the oil and replace the fuel and filters.
right now i just want to make sure the electrical is all working right then i will move to the next steps.
i am a novice and am learning as i go. please give me any and all suggestions. i take every ounce of advice into consideration, even if it doesn't particularly apply to my current problem, i figure i can always use it later when i need it.

With the key in the RUN position, use a voltmeter or test light (the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) to probe both sides of the above fuses to make sure there is power on both sides of both fuses.
If there is, probe the orange wire, then the yellow wire going to the radio.
Is there power on both wires?

Turn Signals:
Check the TURN B/U fuse the same way.
If there is power on both sides, probe the purple wire going to the turn flasher.
The turn signal flasher is clipped onto the fuse panel, as delivered from the factory.
However if it has been replaced it might just be hanging in the maze of wires.
It’s round and approximately 1¼” diameter.
It doesn’t matter the position of the turn stalk when you probe.
Is there power on the purple wire ?

When you say the “air” and the “interior” won’t work, describe the items better unless you fixed those.

Re: Electrical Non Symmetrical
i'm not sure how but i happen to get it all to work but my headlights still wont go up. i removed all the fuses and replaced them, but when i checked the fuses that i removed they all worked. maybe something was loose or something. i currently only have the main problem of the headlights and the fuel pump. i may have to change the pump later today.
but i truly appreciate the reply. i am going to save what you replyed with incase the problem comes back. it was really informative.
