tach does not work

tach does not work

my tach does not work and i was wondering if some one here knew what wire under the dash went to the tach.


cars a 1991 firebird formula

no body knows what wire is the tach wire.

check to make sure all of the wires are connected to the distributor.

all the wiring is gone. it was cut out during the motor swap so i have to splice in under the dash.

A Tach The Problem

The tach wire goes from the PRIMARY non-key side of the coil, to the firewall connector, to the dash connector, to the tach.

At the dash the tach wire is in the right hand connector, pin 7.

If the original is still there it’s a WHITE wire.
