Fuel Pump Wiring Problem?
the wire harness is missing something
i have a 1988 v6 firebird supposivly the fuel pump went.... i have started with the under the hood things first.....
my fuel relay harness is missing a clip and a wire from what i am seeing is there any possability that the missing clips in the harness could be my problem? Two of my relays are like this...
when i first got the car it had a fuel shut off
when my aunt had it she had it removed.
now the car will not start, nor do i hear the fuel pump.

Re: Fuel Pump Wiring Problem?
Check:
Fuse for Orange Wire(under hood near battery)
Fuse for Fuel pump(under dash near brake pedal)
Check all the fuses
If good then carefully and temporarily bypass fuel pump relay (relay provides power to MAF and ECM)
listen for sound of pump (may need helper to listen at filler neck)
no pump sound is a dead pump or short in wires to pump
If pump works:
your Electronic Control Module is not sending voltage to turn on the relay.
Check:
Ignition control Module (under distributor cap) or the
Oil Pressure sending unit (near bottom of distributor attached to block)
not sending voltage to ECM
verify all Grounds are good
just a quick compiled list I'm not a pro
