choke light on. no O2 sensor wired

Engine: 350 bored .030
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: Stock. Wanting up grade
choke light on. no O2 sensor wired
The sensor on my 84 trans am 355. Auto trans. Is not wires. There 3in of wire and its cut. Where is this wired to originally or where do I need to wire it up to. And how do I find out why my choke light is on. How iS the choke supposed to wire up
