how to tell if the ecm is running right and how to get to it

Chances are, it's fine. Although everyone and his brother wants to change them everytime something insignificant goes wrong rather than diagnosing the REAL issue, they rarely ever fail.

It's located in the pass side kick panel.

 

well mine i dont know if its wrong the problem is something is the reason im getting to much fuel i have this as a last resort but ive changed alot thing all ready

 

Have you checked for codes yet?

 

My ecm chip went out. Its causing my tbi to pump to much fuel. Try no flooding it, thats how i figured it out

 

?? afik, they are all (any year) mounted behind the dash, pass side. Fox-body 'stangs eec's were in the hinge pillar behind the kick panel.
