91 camaro v6 egr valve connection
91 camaro v6 egr valve connection
The connection on my camaro to the egr valave looks broke like one prong is pushed far down. my scanner is showing 2 codes, one for the IAC and one for the EGR. how would i replace that connector to plug into the egr?

Is this the connector for the solenoid or for the temp sensor? If it's for the solenoid, check the pins in the solenoid that engage the female terminals in the connector. Is one bent where it might have forced the female side back into the connector? If so, straighten it carefully. The connector can be disassembled by carefully unlatching the locking tab at the rear side, opposite the terminal end. With the locking tab off, you can getb to the rear of the terminals and push the one back into place.

Wait a minute. You have a 91 V6. It has a digital EGR valve with a funny looking, almost triangular connector. Sorry, I was thinking before of the V8 EGR. Still, the same rule applies. Be sure that no pins in the valve are bent, and unlock the back of the connector to acces the terminal and push it back into place.

Is this prong in the valve or the connector? I would be very careful with the valve terminals. They will break off and leave you needing a new valve. You can straighten them very gently if they are slightly bent. Can you post a photo of the connector and the valve's terminals? I'll tell you what I think of what you have. It's been a couple of months since I dealt with one of those early dig valves. The test of valve function is fairly simple.
